The Animal Foundation moves to appointment-only service, urges residents to foster pets

The request went out, and Southern Nevadans responded. Hundreds of people are stepping forward to help shelter animals during this coronavirus lockdown.
Everything at The Animal Foundation is being done by appointment only right now, whether it’s adoptions or people looking to surrender their pets
The big news is that about 400 people have put in applications to foster a shelter pet.
The Animal Foundation, one of the valley’s most Las Vegas News prominent animal facilities, is joining many other businesses in making changes to its operations amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The nonprofit says that adoptions and Lost & Found will be open by appointment only starting Thursday, March 19.
The move is a precaution to keep the public and its staff safe and healthy.the foundation has closed the Everyday Adoption Center at 286 Lake Mead Parkway.
The low-cost veterinary clinic was closed earlier in the week, Press Release Distribution Services In Las Vegas as well, with a no potential opening date until at least April 5.
The foundation is also urging residents to foster pets during this difficult time. As many people are forced to stay home for longer than usual and social distancing inapplicable to animals, a foster pet can be a great way to keep you and your family company.
