NFL requests all teams to honor Madden at Week 17 games

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is urging each 32 teams to grant legendary Raiders manager and shot icon John Madden astatine this weekend’s 16 games.

In a memo sent to each club, Goodell said the “NFL mislaid a giant” with the passing of Madden and asked that “each location squad successful Week 17 observe a infinitesimal of soundlessness successful his representation conscionable anterior to the commencement of the game.”

The Raiders are playing astatine the Indianapolis Colts connected Sunday.

Madden died Tuesday morning astatine property 85.
