Semitrailer strikes, kills pedestrian near Las Vegas Motor Speedway

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a semitrailer Wednesday day adjacent the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The clang happened connected southbound Interstate 15 astatine Speedway Boulevard, according to a tweet from the Nevada Highway Patrol sent astatine astir 1 p.m.

Southbound postulation was being diverted disconnected of the road Wednesday day astatine Speedway Boulevard, the Highway Patrol said.

The bureau warned drivers to expect large delays and to debar the area.
